A well-established New Plymouth employer is seeking a Specialist Building Product Applicator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: flooring, waterproofing, or concrete cutting, with experience applying specialist products from leading brands such as Sika, Fosroc, Ardex, and Allnex. This opportunity may suit an industrial painter or experienced hammer hand looking to move into specialist product application.
This role involves working on large industrial sites, carrying out tasks including: • Application of waterproofing systems, sealants, floor coatings, and screeds • Concrete repair and remediation • Use of specialised building products • Occasional concrete cutting and core drilling
The position is Monday to Friday, working 45–50 hours per week, and requires a physically fit individual as heavy lifting is involved. Pay rate: $27.50 – $32.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
Key Requirements: • Preferably a minimum of 2 years’ experience in specialist product application • Experience with Sika, Fosroc, Ardex, Allnex, or similar products • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency • Willingness to travel occasionally • Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting • Drug-free • Full Class 1 driver licence, or the ability to obtain one immediately • Minor convictions may be discussed on a one-on-one basis
