Forklift Operator - Port Otago (Fixed Term)

3-month fixed term contract We are looking for professional forklift operators to join our team. You will need to be passionate about what you do, and you will be future focused on making a positive contribution to our business every day. We’ll offer you a varied role, where no two days are the same.

When our products are ready to ship, we are supported by our team of professional forklift drivers across our New Zealand Distribution Centres. With safety, customer service and quality at the forefront, their role is crucial in ensuring that we keep our dairy products moving around New Zealand and the world. They are a highly motivated and well organized team who know the importance of getting the right products to the right place at the right time.

Driving modern forklifts, with ultramodern technology supporting them and working across a variety of shift rosters, key responsibilities are: • Loading and unloading pallets to ensure they are stored correctly • Picking/packing and sending products to the correct location efficiently and accurately • Effective fleet management • Stock quality management

• A minimum 6-month forklift experience working in a warehouse or distribution centre environment is preferred • Extensive experience working in a fast paced environment • A good dose of physical strength as our products can weigh up to 25kg • The ability to be standing and moving around site for long periods of time • Able to pass Pre-employment checks, drug, police and medical • A license and own reliable transport to get to site • Current forklift license (or the ability to obtain)
