Class 5 Heavy Truck Drivers – Civil Construction

We are seeking experienced Class 5 Heavy Truck Drivers for civil construction work. Duties include carting aggregates and asphalt, loading/unloading machinery, relocating plant between sites, and operating large and small trucks. You will assist the asphalting crew, operate roller spreader attachments and complete daily logbooks and basic maintenance checks. You must have experience in civil asphalt, also operating light machine and specialist construction machinery as required. You will also be driving light vehicles, spraying emulsion, operating specialist asphalt or milling, paver, laying, and rolling equipment.

Some overnight work outside Auckland is required (accommodation and meal allowances provided).

Immediate start available for the right candidate.

Job Requirements

• NZ Full Class 1 Driver Licence • NZ Class 5 Driver Licence (proven on-road experience, not just holding the certificate) • MUST have experience in civil asphalt and in operating specialist construction machinery. • Familiar and experienced with also driving light vehicles, spray emulsion, operating specialist asphalt or milling, paver, laying and rolling equipment. • Clean driving record • Able to pass all pre-employment checks, including medical (if required), drug test, and MOJ check • Willing to stay overnight from time to time when driving out of Auckland • Flexible, reliable, and positive attitude • Reasonable level of physical fitness

Days of work
Monday to Friday, weekends may also be required from time to time. (30 hours per week)
