A well-established visitor attraction in Rotorua is seeking a part-time Kiwi Conservation Officer to join a small, dedicated team of kiwi specialists. This Fixed-Term role supports the daily operations of an award-winning nocturnal facility, contributing to the care, wellbeing, and conservation of a treasured native species while also engaging positively with manuhiri.

Reporting to the Kiwi Conservation Centre Manager, you will assist with animal care routines and help ensure visitors have an informative and respectful experience. This position may be well suited to someone with a genuine interest in conservation and a willingness to learn - Full training will be provided.

Job Requirements

1- Willingness to learn captive species management (training provided). 2- Wiling and able to work the stated roster, including Weekends and Public Holidays. 3- Willingness to undergo pre-employment checks, if required. 4- Have a FULL Class 1 driver licence and your own transport to reliably and punctually get to work, due to the hours worked and location.
