Caregivers - Upper Hutt

We have an Upper Hutt based employer looking for Caregivers to join their team.

In this role you will: * Provide all necessary assistance to assigned residents to meet their needs in relation to hygiene, nutrition, mobility and social interaction. * Ensure the residents environment is maintained to a safe and sanitary standard * Participate in the implementation of the facilities policies, procedures, standards and quality improvement activities. * Support residents with dementia through daily tasks like memory prompts, personal care, medication assistance, meal support, and ensuring safety and comfort

* At least 2 years' experience as a Caregiver or in a similar role is required. * Minimum Level 3 Caregiver qualification. * Dementia experience is desirable. * Must be available to work rotating roster Monday-Sunday AM, PM, Nights and Weekend Shifts. * Must be able to pass an MOJ check and drug test.

You will: Have good communication skills, written and verbal. Have the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team. Have empathy for those you are working with. Have respect for the elderly as a group and as individuals.

This can be a physically demanding role; so you will need to be physically fit for practical duties.
