A Wellington Company is looking for a Transport Operator to join their team at their Petone site.

As a Transporter Operator you will be responsible for safely loading and unloading transport trailers, towing plant required for paving projects between sites and hauling vital materials to keep projects on track.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring our fleet and equipment are always in top condition, making a real impact across the region every day.

In addition to the above you will: • Safely transporting asphalt, aggregates and various other construction materials to site. • Maintaining trucks and equipment in a presentable condition. • Preforming daily prestart checks plus routine maintenance and accurate, timely and well organised records as required. • Ensuring trucks and equipment comply with all transport regulations (i.e. Current RUC, COF, Rego).

Job Requirements

• Current Class 5 licence • W, T, R endorsement on licence • BESS accreditation • Minimum of 2 years practical heavy vehicle driving experience • Experience driving a Transporter truck, transporting plant required for paving projects including loading, unloading and relocating paving machinery • Experience transporting asphalt, aggregates and various other construction materials • Knowledge and understanding of NZ Road safety regulations • A safety-first attitude • Must be able to pass a pre-employment MOJ and Drug test

Mon - Fri between 0600 - 1800 (40 hours per week)

$28.21 - $37.77 based on experience
