What You'll Be Doing: - Operating Class 4 and 5 heavy vehicles for local and regional transport - Safely jack knifing trailers without bending tow eyes - precision and care are key - Handling loads with respect for the gear and the load - Conducting pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance - Following strict road safety protocols and compliance standards - Delivering goods across Christchurch, Waimakariri, and Selwyn districts - Collaborating with logistics teams for efficient route planning
Job Requirements
- Valid Class 4 or 5 license with clean driving record - Proven experience operating heavy vehicles, including safe jack knifing techniques - Strong understanding of load securing and vehicle maintenance - Commitment to safety and respecting equipment - no shortcuts on gear care - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Own reliable transport to job sites
