Cabinetmaker - Fixed Term

We are looking for Cabinet Makers to join our team in Papakura! In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Design and Consultation: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, creating custom designs for cabinets and furniture. • Material Selection: Choose appropriate materials, including wood, laminate, and finishes, to meet design specifications and client requirements. • Construction: Use various woodworking tools and machinery to cut, shape, and assemble cabinet components, ensuring precision and quality in the final product. • Finishing: Apply finishes such as stains, sealants, and varnishes to enhance the appearance and durability of the cabinetry. • Installation: Perform on-site installation of cabinets, ensuring they are level, secure, and properly fitted in the designated spaces. • Repair and Maintenance: Conduct repairs on existing cabinetry, fabricating replacement parts as needed to restore functionality and aesthetics. • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety standards and protocols while working in the workshop and during installations.

- Pass Ministry of Justice (MOJ)

- Clear spoken English

Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence

-Proficient in using hand tools and power tools, with knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials

- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes and accurate measurements

- Physically fit
