An Onehunga members-based club is looking for a Head Chef to join their team.
As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, which include menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring high quality food service.
You will also be responsible for managing the existing kitchen hands, maintaining food safety standards, and handling inventory.
The ideal candidate should have culinary and kitchen leadership skills, creativity, and a passion for food.
The role is currently Wednesday to Sunday with dinner services from 5pm – 8pm each day, with Smorgasbord Lunch every fortnight from 12pm – 2pm.
You will also be responsible for working catering bookings for up to 200 guests during hall hires, which could be birthdays, wedding receptions, wakes etc.
The club currently has set menus and can work with you in making them your own.

- Food handling certificate - Kitchen leadership skills and experience - Culinary skills - Ability to work stated shifts and large events
