Quality Controller

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Officer to support apple orchard harvest operations. This role is responsible for checking fruit in bins to ensure apples meet required harvest and quality specifications, including size, colour, maturity, and condition.
The successful candidate will regularly inspect bins throughout the orchard and identify any quality issues, reporting findings promptly. Accurate record keeping is a key part of this role, with all inspection results entered into a tablet or digital system in a timely and correct manner. The Quality Control Officer will work closely with supervisors and picking teams to help maintain consistent harvest standards and reduce waste. Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to follow quality guidelines are essential. Previous experience in horticulture or quality control is an advantage, but training will be provided. Reliability, honesty, and a strong commitment to quality are critical for success in this role.
Job Requirements
Applicants for the Quality Controller role are preferred to have previous experience, but this is not essential as the training will be provided. Candidates must have their own reliable transport and hold a current restricted drivers licence. Applicants must have no medical conditions that could effect their ability to safely carry out the duties outlined in the job description. All candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment urine drug test. Applicants with sexual assault or serious violent convictions or charges will not be considered. having a current CV will be an advantage. Reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are essential.
