Tractor Drivers

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Tractor Driver to support daily orchard operations. This role involves operating tractors to place, move, and remove apple bins throughout the orchard in an efficient and timely manner. The successful candidate will ensure bins are correctly positioned for harvesting and transport while minimizing damage to fruit, trees, and equipment. All tractor driving policies, procedures, and safety standards must be followed at all times.

Responsibilities include operating machinery on varying terrain, conducting basic pre-start checks, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly. The role requires close coordination with orchard staff to maintain smooth workflow during harvest periods. Candidates must demonstrate strong awareness of safety, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions. Previous tractor or agricultural machinery experience is preferred, but training may be provided for the right candidate. Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential.

Applicants must have a minimum of two to three seasons’ experience operating tractors or agricultural machinery in an orchard or similar environment. A restricted New Zealand driver licence is required, along with reliable personal transport to and from work. Candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment urine drug test as part of the hiring process. Applicants must have no criminal convictions, including sexual assault or serious violence offences. A strong understanding of safe tractor operation and the ability to follow workplace procedures is essential. CVs are preferred and will be considered an advantage during the selection process. Reliability, safety awareness, and a positive work attitude are required.
