As a Duty Manager, you will play a pivotal role in curating outstanding beverage experiences for our guests. Your expertise in cocktail creation and your strong knowledge of wine will contribute to the elevated level of service that defines our venue. Working alongside a talented and dedicated team, you will deliver high-quality drinks and impeccable service within a sophisticated and vibrant environment. Key Responsibilities include: • Cocktail Creation Lead the preparation of seasonal cocktail menus, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency, in collaboration with the wider bar team. • Wine Service Provide knowledgeable wine recommendations, demonstrating a strong understanding of an extensive wine list and the ability to enhance each guest’s dining experience. • Customer Interaction Engage confidently with guests to understand their preferences, deliver personalised service, and ensure every guest feels welcomed and valued. • Bar Operations Drive the bar team with a clear focus on quality control and presentation. Assist with daily bar operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and organisation. • Team Collaboration Work closely with both kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth, efficient service across all areas. • Health & Safety Compliance Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring the bar area remains clean, safe, and well maintained at all times. • Continued Learning Stay up to date with industry trends, new cocktail techniques, and wine developments to continually grow your skills and knowledge.
Job Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bartender in a high-end bar or restaurant. • Passionate to lead a bar team, taking pride in the quality of the drinks & create a great working atmosphere • Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and wine, with the ability to make informed recommendations. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with guests and provide exceptional service. • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. • Professional appearance and commitment to reliability and punctuality. • Experience with POS systems and bar inventory management. • A passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering memorable guest experiences. • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. • Provide exceptional table service, ensuring that all guests feel welcomed, valued, and attended to from arrival to departure. • Guide guests through the menu, offering detailed descriptions and recommendations to enhance their dining experience. • Accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen, ensuring that special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated clearly. • Serve food and beverages promptly, maintaining the highest standards of presentation and timing. • Oversee table settings, ensuring that each table is properly set, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, addressing any issues or requests promptly and professionally. • Collaborate with other wait staff and kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service. • Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork. • Handle payments, including cash and card transactions, with accuracy and integrity. • Stay informed about menu changes, daily specials, and wine pairings to provide knowledgeable recommendations. • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times. • Duty Manager certificate or LCQ is a must
