A Wellington business is looking for physically fit and motivated individuals to join our crew as Class 2-4 Drivers.
Resposibilities:
• Vehicle Operation: Safely drive Class 2 (medium rigid, up to 18,000kg) or Class 4 (heavy rigid, over 18,000kg) vehicles to transport materials like metal, soil, or asphalt to and from sites. • Site Support: Assist civil crews with manual labor when not driving, including trenching, bulk earthworks, and supporting drainage or roading projects. • Machinery Operation: Operate various civil machinery such as rollers, dump trucks, or loaders, often requiring WTR (Wheels, Tracks, Rollers) endorsements. • Maintenance: Perform daily pre-start vehicle checks, basic upkeep (cleaning, refueling), and report mechanical issues to supervisors. • Compliance: Adhere strictly to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols and site-specific safety procedures.

Job Requirements
• Licensing: Valid NZ Class 2 or Class 4 driver’s license is essential. • Endorsements: WTR endorsements are highly preferred for civil site work. • Experience: Previous experience in civil construction, roading, or earthworks is typically required. • Physical Fitness: Capability to perform "hands-on" manual labor and ground crew tasks as needed. • Checks: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and Ministry of Justice (MOJ) background check
