Casual Housekeeper

We are a highly rated hotel in Papanui, known for our exceptional standards, and we’re looking for a casual housekeeper to join our team. The role starts with weekend shifts and will increase over the summer period – perfect for someone looking for extra income or mother’s hours.

We’re not just looking for a staff member – we’re looking for someone who values teamwork, high standards, and takes genuine pride in creating a welcoming environment for our guests.

Duties Include: -Clean and service hotel rooms to a high standard -Change linens, make beds, vacuum, dust, and sanitise surfaces -Move and reset beds and furniture as part of the cleaning process -Restock amenities and check rooms for maintenance issues -Interact politely and professionally with guests -Maintain the hotel’s reputation for exceptional cleanliness

-Must pass a Police Check & Drug Testing -Ideally a local to Papanui or nearby -Mature, honest, and reliable -Must be physically fit – some heavy lifting and bed-moving involved, need to be comfortable using stairs -Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards -Confident speaking in clear English – able to chat with guests when needed -Friendly, team-oriented attitude -Previous housekeeping experience is helpful but full training provided
