We are currently seeking a experienced, motivated and practical Machine Operator/Labourer. This is a hands-on, full-time nightshift role suitable for a candidate who is ready to contribute to a high-performing team and grow within a progressive business.
As a Sawmill Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in our operations, transforming raw logs into various rough sawn timber profiles to fuel our remanufacturing production plant. You will handle physically demanding tasks, operate machinery, and ensure equipment is performing at its best to meet our output goals
We are seeking an individual who is reliable, adaptable, physically fit, and brings a positive attitude to work each evening. Comprehensive training and ongoing support are provided to help you succeed. Our priority is to build a dependable, purpose-driven team that supports one another.
Key Responsibilities - Operate machinery to maintain smooth production flow and meet efficiency targets - Set up and adjust machines as required - Conduct regular timber quality checks - Load and unload timber through infeed and outfeed processes - Maintain product quality through careful inspection and attention to detail - Contribute to improved recoveries - Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a tidy work area - Work collaboratively to meet production goals through teamwork and clear communication

Job Requirements
- Good physical fitness and confidence with manual handling - A positive attitude and strong work ethic - Sound communication skills and a willingness to learn - Experience with technology or operating machinery - A commitment to safety, teamwork, and doing the job well - A proven work history with recent references - Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and MOJ checks
- Days of work
- Monday - Thursday, 6PM to 4:30 AM (Three day weekend, every week!) Regular overtime - paid at an overtime bonus rate! (40 hours per week)
