Kitchenhand

Do you love working in a fast-paced environment and developing new skills? Are you passionate about food and learning how to prepare and present it properly. Taupo's biggest destination cafe and cakery is looking for a kitchenhand to get stuck in and help the team prepare and present beautiful dishes. If you can bring any food preparation skills/experience to the table then great, but we're keen to hear from you if you have plenty of energy, enthusiasm and motivation to learn the skills needed and can follow instructions. This is a very physical role and you'll be on your feet all day. cleaning and clearing duties required are all part of the role and you need to willing to help out wherever needed, whether it's in the kitchen or elsewhere.

Previous experience is desirable but can be taught to the right person Reliability and punctuality Well presented and tidy in your work and presentation Willing to learn new skills and follow instructions Physically fit (you will be lifting heavy catering trays full of food in a busy, hot environment) and able to work on your feet all day Good attention to detail H&S conscious Must be able to work weekends and public holidays (rostered work) Must be able to pass random drug and alcohol tests whilst working
