Treats Packing Lead

This position requires a motivated and committed leader, their key role is to lead the treats packing team in our dried treats plant. It requires attention to detail, care, people management skills and drive. Our ‘just in time' production process means that producing quality product without missing a beat is crucial to our success. Co-ordinating materials, staff and planning the day are crucial parts of the role.
Primarily the role is based on the floor, supporting the packing team, pitching in and helping wherever needed and also ensuring that product is made well each and every time. It's no easy feat to keep all of these elements humming during the day, but with a great team and an enjoyable culture that is what we aim to do. The role does require our Leading Hand to work in our packing process, our business produces dog food products from raw beef, sheep, chicken and possum products.
Job Requirements
Lead the packing floor team Engage and deliver health and safety initiatives and stanards with the packing team Deliver agreed quality standards and output volumes to meet production Plan daily packing requirements with the Treats Plant Manager Support and engage the packing team in regular toolbox meetings What we are looking for:
Strong communication skills and the ability to use different styles of communication as appropriate
Natural leader who can encourage others to follow Flexible thinking and problem solving skills
Understanding of production equipment, basic mechanical and electrical understanding (or a willingness to learn) A good level of reading comprehension and capability to complete production documentation
