Senior Collections Officer

Senior collection officer required in Auckland CBD, as senior collections officer you will be responsible for leading and supporting the collections team to achieve performance targets while delivering excellent customer outcomes. This role combines hands-on collections activity with coaching, process improvement, and stakeholder support.

Key Responsibilities:

- Promote a collaborative, high-performance team culture focused on knowledge sharing - Manage customer and internal enquiries regarding payments and accounts - Provide accurate account advice and negotiate repayment plans - Proactively follow up overdue accounts via phone, email, and written correspondence - Maintain accurate records of all collections activity - Monitor payment trends, identify risks, and recommend improvement actions

• Must have minimum of 4 years’ experience in a collections environment • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Previous experience dealing directly with customers in debt collections is preferred • Demonstrated firm, organised, and professional work ethic • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Must pass MOJ check
