About the role (personal) - We are currently recruiting for a Youth Mentor/Facilitator. Ideal for an enthusiastic and non judgmental person who has a strong interest in working with young people 16-24 years old. The focus is on enabling success. Our mahi/work, along with important wider community support seeks to remove any barriers to success and create a better future for each and every young person we have the privilege of working beside. We want to hear from you, if you: • are enthusiastic, organized and enjoy working to support rangatahi/young people • will contribute and work within a team to maintain a culture of positivity and an exciting learning environment • are able to deliver training around job search, interview skills and other skills relating to gaining and maintaining further education or employment • have the capability to plan, prepare and deliver learning sessions • able to build relationships and form networks within the community

Job Requirements

What you will bring (skills) • An understanding and interest in supporting young people to achieve • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written • A mentoring and support approach within a team environment • Competent computer skills • A full driver’s license

NOTE: Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen or have New Zealand permanent residency status or be legally entitled to work in New Zealand and satisfactorily complete a Police/safety check inline with our child protection policies.
