Class 5 Heavy Truck Driver

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Class 5 Truck Driver to join our growing trucking company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and lawful operation of trucks and trailers, ensuring efficient delivery and pick-up of goods while complying with all New Zealand transport regulations. Key Responsibilities - Driving a truck and trailer according to daily work requirements - Positioning vehicles correctly for loading and unloading - Ensuring all loads comply with legal weight and size limitations - Securing and restraining loads in accordance with New Zealand law - Completing and providing all required paperwork for deliveries and pick-ups - Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards - Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and ensuring all company vehicles are kept to a high standard - Providing the employer’s copy of logbooks weekly or within 14 days, as required - Training new staff and monitoring their performance when required.

• Valid NZ Full Class 5 Driver Licence • Must have at least 6 months of experience driving a Class 5 truck • Sound knowledge of NZ transport laws, including load restraint and logbook requirements • Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and professionalism • Good communication and time-management skills • Reliable with ability to work independently and as part of a team • Previous experience in a similar role preferred • Physically fit to pull pallets using a manual pallet jack • Must be able to work in a chilled and frozen transport work • Must be able to pass drug test and MOJ check • Must be available to start early in the morning finish around midnight
