Skid Loader Operator

A Civil Construction Employer is looking for Skid Loader Operator's for work across Auckland wide. The Skid Loader Operator performs the important role of making sure the newly milled surfaces and job site are clean and free of milling dust, debris, etc. This work is typically performed with a clean-up bucket (to pick up the majority of milling debris), and sweeper attachment (for detailed cleaning). •A skid steer loader operator drives and controls skid steer equipment. They use the controls in the machine to mill the road surface, lift and dump construction materials above the base level of the machine. They are required to drive safely, regulate the speed and move the load from one place to another in compact places. •Must have a RTW endorsement to operate and have a Full Class 2 or Class 4 NZ license to drive the truck to transport the Skid loader on site, responsible for loading and unloading the unit and attachments and make sure it safe.• Must be competent to operate and be familiar to the attachments (pick up broom, bucket, planner) and must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in operating a Skid loader.Ability to work in various weather conditions .Ability to work Saturday and Sunday as needed•Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems by basic knowledge of minor repairs using hand tools. Performs routine maintenance on skid loaders, such as lubricating, fuelling, and cleaning •Maintain a high level of safety awareness. •Follow established environmental procedures to ensure that the plant for which they are working, is following local regulations and requirements Apply today! - Minimum of 2 years previous Skid Loader Operator experience - Hold a Full Class 2 or Full Class 4 Drivers licence and is required to Transport the Skid Loader to sites - Hold a Current Wheel's, Tracks and Rollers Endorsement - Must pass a Ministry of Justice Check (MOJ must be clean) - Must pass a Drugs test - Be physically fit and strong and capable of physical work -able to be on your feet for long periods -able to work weekends if required
