Kitchenhand - Graveyard Shift

A busy local takeaway is seeking a reliable Kitchenhand to join the team on the graveyard shift in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
What you will do: • Assisting Cooks with the preparation of meal ingredients, which includes washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit, vegetables, poultry. • Promptly retrieving food items and ingredients from storage areas as requested by Cooks according to the orders received. • Informing the manager if ingredients and spices are running low. • Preparing salad or put ingredients in deep fryer when requested by Cooks or Chef • Assisting Cooks with food arrangement and decoration. • Unloading of delivered food supplies. • Organizing and correctly storing food supplies. • Properly cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene, ensure the kitchen is ready for the following shift • Washing and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes. • Cleaning kitchen and appliances. • Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors as well as wiping down kitchen walls.

Job Requirements
• Familiar with takeaway kitchen is preferable • Must be able to pass drug test and CSO check • Must have reliable transport to get to and from work • Good time management • Ability to work swiftly at a hot and fast-paced kitchen • Good personal hygiene and physical healthy • Able to work as part of team • Hold a positive can do attitude • Must be able to work on weekend and graveyard shifts

- 30 hours per week Between 8pm-4am, seven days a week on a rotating roster (30 hours per week)
