We are seeking an experienced and motivated Duty Manager to lead day to day operations and ensure an exceptional experience for both customers and staff in a Lower Hutt Venue.
This role is key to maintaining smooth service, high operational standards, and a positive team culture.
Running the shift and keeping things ticking along across customer-facing areas
Leading, supporting, and motivating the team during busy and quiet periods
Delegating tasks and making sure shifts are well covered (including approving leave)
Handling customer feedback or issues calmly and professionally
Looking after cash handling, tills, and basic stock checks
Making sure the venue is safe, clean, and welcoming for both staff and customers
Keeping management in the loop on how things are going and flagging any issues being a go to support on shift
Job Requirements
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role (hospitality, retail, or customer service preferred)
Confident communicator with solid people and problem-solving skills
Comfortable with cash handling and end-of-shift reconciliations
Organised, proactive, and good at juggling tasks
Flexible to work a mix of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
A qualification in business or hospitality is a bonus, but not essential
Current Duty Manager’s Certificate or LCQ required
Must Pass MOJ and drug test
