Hatchery Assistant

SOUTHLAND/BALCLUTHA: Our local employer is looking for a Full-time Hatchery Assistant to join our team in Balclutha.

Duties include but are not limited to: • Spawning, egg incubation and sorting. • Feeding. • Grading, counting, and transferring of fish. • Accurate record keeping. • Routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment, tanks, and filtration systems. • Ensuring the hatchery facility is clean, organised, and compliant with safety regulations. • On call duty, responding to and remedying alarms as required.

Days and hours: • As per roster. 4 days on, 4 days off • This role offers 40 hours per week.

Pay Rate: • To be negotiated based on experience and this will be discussed at the interview stage.
