Carpenter

We are a well-established South Taranaki earthworks and civil construction company delivering projects across residential, rural, and commercial sites. Our work includes site preparation, drainage, roading, and infrastructure projects, and we’re looking for a skilled Carpenter to support our on-site construction works.

This role focuses on carpentry tasks that support earthworks and civil construction projects rather than residential house building. You’ll work closely with machine operators and site supervisors to deliver high-quality, safe, and efficient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct and install formwork for concrete pads, foundations, retaining walls, and culverts • Build and install temporary structures, boxing, shuttering, and bracing • Assist with concrete pours, finishing, and site set-up • Read and interpret basic plans, drawings, and levels • Carry out general site carpentry and minor maintenance works • Work safely around heavy machinery and active construction sites • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment • Follow all health & safety and environmental requirements

• Trade-qualified Carpenter or minimum 3–5 years relevant carpentry experience. • Experience in civil construction, earthworks, or commercial carpentry preferred. • Strong understanding of site health & safety. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Must pass Ministry of Justice check. • Must pass a drug test.
