Key Responsibilities: The Department Manager is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations and ensuring McDonald’s standards are consistently met across Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Value (QSC&V), people leadership, sales, and profitability.
Key duties include: Managing shifts to ensure exceptional customer service and a consistent McDonald’s brand experience. Supervising, coaching, and supporting employees to ensure compliance with all operational policies and procedures. Working collaboratively with the Restaurant Manager and management team to achieve business targets. Assisting with health, safety, and security compliance, including incident investigations and corrective actions. Ensuring appropriate staffing levels, effective training, and ongoing development of employees. Managing stock levels and overseeing kitchen operations to ensure the delivery of gold-standard food.
Job Requirements
Completion of the McDonald’s Department Manager Course Proven experience in a restaurant or quick-service hospitality management role. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Demonstrated ability to manage people, operations, and performance in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety, health and safety, and compliance standards. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, overnights, and weekends.
