Kiwifruit packhouse worker - Te Puna

Kiwifruit Main Season 2026 is just around the corner and the employer has a range of roles available for all levels of experience. With four shifts to choose from and a wide variety of positions available, they have just the right combination available to you. Work is available from mid-March to mid-June with hourly rates starting at $25.50 per hour. Although we prefer fully available applicants, we could accommodate applicants that want less days. When working in a packhouse you can expect to be on your feet for up to 10 hours per day. Many of the roles require repetitive physical motions too. Our Graders and Packers handle fruit while Tray Preppers are lining boxes to send down the line. Graders, Packers, and Tray Prep all require repeat hand and wrist movements throughout the shift. The Stackers have the most physical job in the packhouse. You will be physically fit. Stackers are responsible for moving fully packed boxes of kiwifruit onto pallets, often lifting to 20kg repeatedly throughout the day.
