Shop Assistant – Nelson City (New Store Opening)
A leading technology retailer is opening a new store in Nelson City and is seeking a Shop Assistant to support day-to-day store operations.
Role Overview: The Shop Assistant will help with stock management, POS transactions, and maintaining store presentation, while providing friendly support to customers. This role is ideal for someone with experience in retail, warehouse, or customer service who enjoys working in a technology-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process sales, refunds, and returns at the POS. Receive, label, and manage stock; assist with stocktakes. Maintain store presentation and general housekeeping. Support customers with product enquiries and guidance. Assist the team to ensure smooth store operations.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
1+ year of experience in retail, customer service, warehouse, or cashier roles. Strong English communication skills. Interest in technology is preferred. Must be physically fit, as the role requires heavy lifting of up to 25 kg. Reliable, organized, and customer-focused.

- Mon–Fri 9am–6pm, Sat 9:30am–5:30pm. Multiple FT (min 30 hrs/week) and PT (10–12 hrs/week) roles available. (30 hours per week)
