Orchard Foreperson

We are looking for a Orchard Foreperson in the Hasting area.

Were looking for some who: * Has strong Leadership Skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. * Has strong organisational skills and problem-solving abilities to address challenges promptly and efficiently. * Can use effective communication skills to collaborate with your team members, suppliers, and management. * Has good understanding of Health & Safety and LEAN to ensure the teams work safely and in a timely and efficient manner. * Will be the driving force behind our success, leading our team, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure the smooth execution of daily operations. * Has the ability to foster a positive and collaborative work environment & empower your team to achieve excellence. * Will monitor and manage inventory, and equipment. Reporting to and collaborating closely with Management to develop and implement effective strategies for orchard growth, productivity, and profitability. * Can utilise your experience and techniques to supervise tasks such as spraying, planting, pruning, grafting, pest control, irrigation, and general upkeep of orchards. * Has a keen eye for detail and horticultural expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining the culture and productivity of our company.

Salary is negotiable dependant on experience.

* A current Growsafe Certificate, * Forklift License. *Minimum of a Restricted NZ Driver’s Licence. * Proven experience in orchard management or in a related field, with an understanding of fruit tree cultivation and maintenance. * Experience in training and/or mentoring as well as building a positive culture within a company. * Proven day-to-day planning expertise with attention to detail. * Spray Operation Planning and Management experience with knowledge of agrichemicals and machinery aptitude.
