About this job

We have a variety of positions available in a kiwifruit packhouse for the 2026 harvest season in the Whakamarama area including but not limited to packing, grading, stacking, strapping, tray preparation, repacking, cleaning and general maintenance work. This work requires being on your feet for long periods therefore some level of fitness is required. As the fruit is packed for export purposes there are clear requirements to follow which will be outlined to you by the employer. For health and safety reasons, closed footwear must be worn – sneakers are suitable. You will require secured accommodation within daily travel distance. ID required is either Passport/Birth Cert/Drivers licence to confirm eligibility to work in NZ.

Job Requirements

Pre-employment drug tests for machine operators and random checks for other positions. Convictions are on a case by case basis, but no sexual offences or theft will be accepted. Assault charges are dependant on the duration since the offence. A minimum restricted license is required to travel to work.

Days of work
Up to 6 days per week (10 hr days) over 7 day roster. (50 hours per week)
