Asbestos Removal Worker – A & B Class

We are seeking Asbestos Removal Workers to join our growing team. We welcome experienced professionals as well as motivated individuals new to the industry who are keen to learn and build a long-term career.

Work is across the wider region, so flexibility to travel is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely remove asbestos-containing materials in accordance with WorkSafe NZ regulations

• Set up and dismantle asbestos removal work areas, including containment systems

• Use and maintain PPE and respiratory equipment correctly

• Follow asbestos management plans and site-specific removal procedures

• Carry out decontamination processes for personnel, tools, and equipment

• Load, transport, and dispose of asbestos waste at approved facilities

• Complete daily documentation, site logs, and safety checklists

• Work as part of a team while following supervisor instructions

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times

• Asbestos A & B Certificates (or willingness to obtain – training available) • Restricted driver licence (preferred) • Own vehicle (preferred) • Pass a drug test • Wear appropriate PPE for the duration of work • Arrive on site on time and ready for physically demanding work • Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures • Be flexible to travel and work at different sites around the region • Convictions must be disclosed and considered on a case by case basis
