Horticultural Nursery Assistant - Gisborne
About this job
●Monitoring plants for pest, weed and fertiliser problems. ●Weeding out the weeds ●Load agricultural products into trucks, and containers. ●Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery. ●Transplant the plants and prepare them for packing. ●Operate irrigation equipment when necessary. ●Packing the trees for dispatching ● Harvesting nursery trees and irrigating them ● ●Digging up the plants and bunding them together ●undertaking soil preparation, cultivation and preparing buds plant and ●Assisting with propagation Preparing potting, soil preparation for planting nursery trees
Job Requirements
Must have or be able to: • Class 1 Car Licence • Pre-employment drug test • Ministry of Justice check • Monday to Sunday, 7am to 5pm on rotating roster
