A local business is looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join their team. This is a hands-on, varied role for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working in a modern workshop with a supportive crew.

About the role: The successful candidate will be involved in fabricating a wide range of aluminium products including flashings, rainwater heads and gutters. From time to time, work will also include architectural entrance gates, fencing and balustrades.

Duties include: • Fabricating aluminium components to a high standard • Reading and interpreting plans and shop drawings • Operating workshop equipment including welders, brake press and guillotine • Aluminium TIG and MIG welding • Carrying out quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications • Maintaining a safe, tidy work environment and following all health and safety requirements

About you: • Honest, reliable and a strong team player • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sheet metal fabrication • Confident reading and working from technical drawings • Strong aluminium TIG and MIG welding skills • Experience operating a brake press and guillotine • Great attention to detail and pride in high-quality work • Good communication skills and the ability to problem-solve • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
