Production Manager

We are looking for a Production Manager to lead our Production Team and drive safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead production to meet KPIs for Safety, Quality, Productivity, Efficiency, and Cost. • Ensure compliance with EHS and Quality standards. • Oversee repair, overhaul, modification, testing, and troubleshooting. • Plan and manage production resources, suppliers, and subcontractors. • Drive continuous improvement using LEAN and 5S practices. • Coach, develop, and manage team performance; support recruitment with HR. • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-maintained production environment.
About You:
• Experience leading production/manufacturing teams; rail industry or rollingstock experience desirable. • Understanding of rail frameworks and technical issues (desirable). • Proven use of LEAN methodologies; formal leadership/management qualification desirable. • Current or willing to obtain Forklift, First Aid, and Fire Warden certifications. • Flexible to work outside normal hours; travel may be required.
Job Requirements
Essential Experience:
• Certificate 3 in Engineering - Mechanical/Electrical Trade and/or higher or; • Five years or more related experience within a manufacturing or services environment. • Significant leadership experience, driving a high performing accountable workforce. • Effective organisational, time management, multi-tasking and communication skills. • Solid computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP systems. • Current Full Driver’s license. • Must pass MOJ • Must pass Drug testing • Must be able to travel to different Wellington locations when needed
