Timber Machinist
About this job
We are looking for a Timber Machinist in the Gisborne area. Duties for this role include: Operating planer machinery and equipment. Control panels and related tasks EG cutting and shaping of timber. Planer head and knife maintenance. Quality assurance and general housekeeping. Training/Mentoring apprentice machinists and team members.
Job Requirements
Previous Saw mill experience required (preferably in machine operation). Must be physically fit. Pass ACC checks. Pass Drug test Ministry of Justice checks will be conducted (will be considered on a case by case basis). Must hold a full driver licence (or restricted licence and be willing to obtain their full ASAP.. Ask us about assistance with getting your full licence.) and have own transport.
- Days of work
- Monday to Friday 4 days on and 3 days off. (Enjoy your weekends off) 12 hour shifts, I.E 5am - 5pm. (40 hours per week)
