Kiwifruit Packhouse Seasonal Roles – Patumahoe (Late Feb – June)
We are looking for motivated and reliable people to join our Kiwifruit Packing Team for the upcoming season, starting late February through to June, at our facility in rural Patumahoe.
We have a range of key roles available and are seeking people who are keen to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Available Roles Area Team Leads • Responsible for a designated area, including machinery and staff allocation • Rotate staff to maximise productivity • Ensure correct packaging and labels are available • Troubleshoot issues and communicate closely with the Shift Manager and other Team Leads
EDI (Electronic Data Inventory) • Check clearance to pack fruit • Enter grower, variety and product data into systems • Ensure pallet cards and documentation are visible before transfer to Cool store • Maintain full fruit traceability using batch control systems • Requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability and good computer skills
Fruit Label Operator • Operate fruit labelling machinery to ensure correct variety and label application • Manage 3 label bank machines with 8 label reels each • Maintain stock levels and record accurate traceability data • Requires the ability to troubleshoot, manage time well and work under pressure
Bin Tip Operator • Operate bin tip machinery to ensure fruit matches the pack plan • Meet production line demands accurately and efficiently • Requires methodical work habits, accuracy and troubleshooting skills
Tray Maker • Operate tray-making and Niverplast machines to supply the production line • Full training provided • Requires physical strength, fitness and the ability to work at pace
Weights & Counts • Check fruit weights and counts to meet specifications • Record and report data accurately • Requires strong attention to detail
Cleaner • Maintain cleanliness of staff areas • Ensure tea, coffee and fresh water are available for breaks • Heat staff meals for lunch breaks • Requires a friendly attitude, motivation and pride in maintaining a tidy workplace
Senior Online Tray Prep • Allocate labour across the tray prep line • Maintain health & safety and food safety standards • Ensure product traceability and stock availability • Requires experience leading a small team, troubleshooting skills, and a positive, energetic manner
Quality Controller • Monitor and check fruit quality to ensure standards are met • Record and communicate quality data • Requires excellent attention to detail and computer literacy • Full training provided to specialise in this role • Please indicate your preferred role when applying.

Job Requirements
- Physically fit and able to work on your feet. - Good communication skills and able to understand and speak English - Contactable by mobile phone - Willing and able to learn and follow instructions - Reliable and punctual, with your own transport - Flexible with working hours - Legally entitled to work in New Zealand or hold an appropriate work visa - Able to complete an online application

- Monday- Sunday 12-hour shifts. Day shift- 6am until 6pm, Night Shift - 6pm until 6am (40 hours per week)
