Kiwifruit Pickers required in Edgecumbe

Local Edgecumbe based orchard are looking for staff for the upcoming Harvest and Winter work. We are located 20min drive from Kawerau so you must have reliable transport. We have an opportunity for people who enjoy outdoor work, motivated and a good team player commencing mid March with the potential of this work going through to late October. Good level of fitness is required as this work involves being on your feet all day and working above head and shoulder height for long periods. Daily Tasks Involved in the role Harvest: You will be carrying a picking bag on your front weighing up to around 25 kgs therefore a good level of fitness is required Winter: Tasks include pruning and tying down of kiwifruit vines in preparation for the 2026 harvest season. Job Requirements
Previous experience is an advantage but not necessary as training will be given.
Most of the work will be done on piece rates, minimum earnings of $24.85 per hour plus 8% holiday pay
Piece rate means the more fruit you pick then the more money you can make
