A Lower Moutere packhouse requires an Apple Carton Stacker from approximately late February – Mid June.

Daily Tasks Involved in the role: An Apple Carton Stacker is involved in post-harvest processing of apples by physically stacking apple cartons onto pallets according to variety and run lots. This position requires strong physical endurance as it involves lifting, arranging, and stacking cartons efficiently and accurately to create stable and organised pallet loads. The Apple Carton Stacker must closely follow guidelines provided for sorting and stacking based on apple varieties, ensuring that each pallet corresponds to specific run lots. Attention to detail is crucial to prevent mix-ups and maintain product integrity.

Job Requirements

This job is physically demanding so a high level of fitness is required as well as high standard of personal hygiene and a commitment to Health and Food Safety as well as the ability to follow instructions, work as a team player in a fast-paced environment. Drug testing will be conducted only if use is suspected. Criminal convictions would be considered on a case by case basis. Experience is not necessary as training will be given.

Days of work
Monday – Friday 7.30am-5.00pm / Sat 7.30am-3.00pm (52 hours per week)
