Spray Operator / Orchard Hand

Full-time Permanent Spray Operator / Orchard Hand is responsible for the safe and effective application of agrichemicals, with a strong understanding of weather conditions, safety protocols, and compliance requirements. This includes operating horticultural equipment and following all relevant regulations. Additional duties include mowing, weed control, maintenance and repairs, general property upkeep, and tree care. This is a safety-sensitive position and requires adherence to all health and safety standards.
Job Requirements
• CV & References • Current New Zealand driver’s License • A strong commitment to health and safety, with a safety-first attitude that guides everything you do • 3 Years of experience in spraying crops or operating horticulture plant and machinery • Flexibility to work varied hours, especially around spraying schedules and maintenance tasks • A Grow Safe certificate would be a definite advantage • Mechanical prowess and the ability to operate and maintain a wide range of machinery and tools • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with team members and stakeholders • A positive attitude and a knack for fostering a supportive and collaborative team culture • The ability to implement and communicate job sheets accurately and efficiently

- Monday - Friday 7.30am to 4.30pm, 45 hours, occasional weekend work required. (45 hours per week)
