Truck Driver (Class 5)

An Auckland-based logistics company is looking for two experienced Class 5 Truck Drivers (Curtain sider truck) living in Taupo. Deliveries are local and nationwide, so flexibility for nationwide (floating) runs is essential. Start times are between midnight and 2am. Ideal candidates will have a full clean Class 5 driver licence with 12+ months Class 5 driving experience. A DG Endorsement and F endorsement is preferred, though assistance can provided to gain the DB and F endorsements for the right candidates. A clean police record is essential, and you must be able to pass drugs tests and be physically fit as you will be assisting with loading and unloading the truck and assisting in other warehouse duties as required (some heavy lifting is required). You will also be maintaining the truck in good condition, performing basic vehicle checks before and after use, ensuring accurate and timely delivery schedules are met. This role is on floating run (Truck & Trailer – curtain sider) therefore the applicant must be flexible to travel anywhere in NZ for deliveries and able to stay out of town. For any break, up to 10 hours, the truck cabin has been made available for rest and for breaks more than 10 hours out of town. A night allowance is paid for stays in the truck.
