As a Family Whanau Worker based in Invercargill, you’ll deliver the Family Start Programme directly to clients in their homes, working alongside whanau to improve health, education, and wellbeing outcomes for children. This role is all about building strong relationships, walking alongside families, and helping them navigate life’s challenges with confidence and support. You’ll be part of a supportive team, backed by a well-established organisation committed to inclusive, culturally responsive practice—and to meeting the high standards required for Family Start delivery.
Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain trusting relationships with families - Complete needs assessments and develop family plans - Advocate for whanau and connect them to services - Collaborate with colleagues and external providers

Job Requirements
What We’re Looking For: - Tertiary qualification in social work, health, education, or related field (or nearing completion) - Experience working with children, young people, and families - Knowledge of relevant NZ legislation - Full NZ driver’s licence
- Must have the right to work within NZ or a valid work visa - Pre-employment checks apply including a medical assessment, police and vetting checks and drug and alcohol tests.

- Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience inline with Social Worker pay equity. (40 hours per week)
