Duty Manager – Min LCQ Required

Katikati, Bay of Plenty A locally owned Bar/Restaurant in Katikati is looking for an experienced and motivated Duty Manager to join their team. This is a full-time role suited to someone who enjoys delivering great service, and creating a welcoming environment for all guests.

About the Role As Duty Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the venue, working closely with Management to ensure smooth service and high standards across every shift. Hours: • Rostered between Monday and Sunday • Operating hours 11:00am – 10:00pm Pay Rate: • $27 – $31 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities • Create a warm and welcoming environment so guests feel happy and comfortable • Work alongside Management to ensure smooth-running service • Supervise the day-to-day running of the venue • Lead by example and drive continuous improvement every shift • Be knowledgeable about all products and services, making recommendations to guests • Handle customer queries and resolve complaints professionally • Ensure compliance with liquor licence conditions at all times • Follow cash handling and banking procedures • Assist with stock management and basic financial tasks • Help create and deliver staff training sessions to maintain high standards of guest engagement and product knowledge • Adhere to WHS requirements and company policies

About You • Current LCQ Certificate (required) • Eligible and willing to obtain a Duty Manager Licence (if not already held) • Minimum 1 year experience in a hospitality role • Previous supervisory or management qual/ experience preferred • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills • Reliable, professional, and able to work flexible hours
