Class 4 tipper driver

We are seeking experienced and reliable Class 4 Tipper Drivers to join our team working on hotmix and asphalt projects with major contractors such as Fulton Hogan, Downer, and Higgins. This role is physically and mentally demanding and requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities • Safely operate Class 4 tipper trucks, including those with 18-speed Road Ranger gearboxes • Cart hotmix/asphalt to worksites and ensure loading, transport, and unloading is done safely • Maintain clean, well-presented vehicles and equipment • Complete all delivery documentation and dockets accurately • Comply with NZ axle loading laws and all transport regulations • Always Follow Health & Safety requirements • Work long hours, night shifts, and be willing to stay away from home if required • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, can-do attitude, and independent thinking on site • Pass random drug and alcohol testing

• Valid NZ Class 4 driver licence • This role involves working long hours, including night shifts, and may require operating in remote locations where access to towns, pharmacies, or medical facilities is limited or a significant distance away. • Fulton Hogan, Downer, and Higgins induction within the last 12 months • Minimum 3 years’ Class 4 driving experience, including hotmix/asphalt paving cartage • Competent operating manual / 18-speed Road Ranger gearboxes • Clear understanding of NZ axle loading laws • Fully compliant with Health & Safety regulations • Physically fit and medically capable of performing all duties safely • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to full-time work • Able to pass pre-employment medical assessment is required, along with ongoing random drug and alcohol testing and MOJ.
