Kaitakawaenga Maori is a 34 plus year service with a rich history and are the Maori face of this employer. Delivering services in a whanau, hapu and iwi centric way to ensure our Maori customers have the tools to self-manage their tax affairs whether they are an individual, or in business.
In this varied role you will:
Work directly with Maori and non-Maori customers, helping them understand their tax obligations, entitlements and how they can self-manage. Provide customer service across a variety of products both proactively and reactively to improve customer outcomes, Engage and build relationships with the community, tax professionals and small businesses to ensure compliance. Educate Maori communities, including the delivery of seminars and presentations, to a self-management model using technology Work in a networked way across the business and use insights gained to develop solutions for customers Bring the voice of the customer to the employer.
Job Requirements
To be successful in this role you will bring:
Minimum of NCEA Level 3 Te Reo Maori or equivalent. Understanding of and can utilise tikanga Maori where appropriate. A high level of comfort with whanau, hapu and iwi. Know and understand issues relevant to the Maori community. Enjoy engaging clearly & accurately with people as part of your day-to-day work. The ability to understand and build trust in potentially difficult, sensitive and/or complex situations. The capability to understand and apply legislation and policy. A current full New Zealand driver’s license (essential). Flexibility – available for varied working hours and travel away from home (essential).
- Days of work
- 8:00am and 6:15pm, Monday to Friday, on a scheduled shift roster (75 hours 50 minutes per fortnight) (38 hours per week)
