Dispatch Worker

Local employer in Warkworth (10 minutes from Warkworth town) is leading New Zealand greenhouse specialist, growing capsicums, tomatoes and snack cucumbers. We currently operate 26 hectares of glasshouse and run a capsicum packhouse and will soon run a tomato packhouse onsite. Supplying produce to large domestic and some export markets.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a motivated team player to join the dispatch team in our capsicum packhouse. You will work closely with the Dispatch Supervisor, ensuring all customer orders are filled on time.

You will be responsible for: Navigation of computer systems for order & stock management. Palletising boxes of capsicum to orders, ensuring all documentation is completed for outgoing product. Rotation of chiller stocks and keeping the dispatch area clean and tidy. Working across all areas of the packhouse including grading, putting lids on boxes, stacking boxes/crates on to pallets. Communicating with external transport companies. Learning to operate all packhouse machinery. Assisting with glasshouse work as required.

Live local within 1 hour of Warkworth Own transport (no public transport to site) Pass drug test Computer literacy is a must, including an understanding of MS Excel. Attention to detail is vital to ensure you can meet the technical aspects of this role. Ability to work autonomously and comfortable working in a cold environment. Dispatch experience is not required however would be an advantage. Capable communicator in pressured environments. Flexibility with hours to support our seasonal demands. A reasonable level of fitness as this is a physical role involving heavy lifting.
