Local employer in Warkworth (10 minutes from Warkworth town) is leading New Zealand greenhouse specialist, growing capsicums, tomatoes and snack cucumbers. We currently operate 26 hectares of glasshouse and run a capsicum packhouse and will soon run a tomato packhouse onsite. Supplying produce to large domestic and some export markets.
Join the team in our tomato packhouse, opening in March 2026. We have 12 exciting new opportunities available: a mix of permanent, casual, and fixed term Packhouse Worker roles. We are looking for motivated team players with effective communication skills. You will be a keen learner with a focus on quality and efficiency.
You will be responsible for: Packing fruit and preparing packing materials Operate the bagging and punnet machines Identify and reject substandard fruit Provide backup for other positions in the packhouse
Job Requirements
Living within 1 hour from Warkworth Own transport (No public transport to the site) Pass drug test A reasonable level of fitness to meet the demands of a physical and busy role Well-developed efficient communication skills Keen to learn, a practical thinker, and shows initiative Previous packhouse experience is beneficial but not essential Flexibility with hours to deal with our seasonal requirements is a must
