Apple Pickers
About this job
A Riwaka orchard requires apple pickers to assist with harvest - starting late February through to mid-May approx. Initially on wages as you train, you will move onto piecework (contract) rates as you get faster. Most picking will be on smaller trees but you will need to use orchard ladders and be comfortable at heights. There may be two weeks of kiwifruit picking later in the season. Picking is a physical job and a good level of fitness is required.
Job Requirements
You must be physically fit and have reliable transport to get to orchard blocks. Criminal convictions considered case by case.

- 7.30am to 5.00pm Mon – Fri and some Saturday work will necessary, weather dependant. (40 hours per week)

- $23.50ph gross then contract rates
