Welder / Fitter – Auckland

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Welder / Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical ability, excellent attention to detail, and the flexibility to work across various sites throughout Auckland.

Key Skills, Attributes & Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

- Proven fitting and welding skills with a strong understanding of various welding processes and equipment - Ability to manufacture and repair metal items using different welding systems - Competence in welding components using manual and semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions - Experience with MIG, TIG, and ARC welding, including cutting stainless steel and mild steel - Ability to tack-weld and fully weld components and assemblies using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment. - Knowledge of materials, tools, and equipment required for each task - Ability to cut, thread, bend, and install steel beams. - Capability to work at heights and across different locations throughout Auckland. - Ability to test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify any defects - Strong attention to detail and high-quality finishing standards.

Class1 Full Driver Licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle Class 2 drivers licence preferred not necessary. Proven experience in welding and fitting Ability to provide one or two work-related references Punctual, reliable, and a strong problem-solver Ability to work autonomously in an unsupervised environment Willingness to work overtime when required. Pass a Ministry of Justice criminal record check and drug test.
