Location: All over Auckland

• Operate a class 2/4 tow truck to safely tow and recover vehicles from various locations, including motorways, commercial and residential areas. • Respond competently to service calls and requests for roadside assistance and tows requested by the New Zealand Police, National Recovery Alliance and Waterview Tunnel Joint Operations. • Assess the condition of vehicles and the surroundings and determine the appropriate towing method. • Ensure you demonstrate competently a high level of light and heavy vehicle mechanical knowledge (eg transmission, engine, drive shaft, tyres, electrical etc) • Secure vehicles properly to the tow truck using the appropriate PPE gears. • Communicate effectively and respectfully with dispatchers, customers, and other team members. • Perform basic maintenance and inspections on tow trucks to ensure they are in good working condition and report any issues. • Complete required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, including tow authorities and vehicle condition reports. • Ensure you maintain a high quality of work ethics. • Ensure you are following the health and safety policies.

Job Requirements

At least 2 years’ experience driving a Class 2 truck (Class 4 preferred) Able to drive manual vehicles Competent using a forklift Flexible, reliable, and willing to learn Available to work weekends and nights on a roster Clean driver’s licence and criminal record (Police vetting required) Good mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills Able to work 60–70 hours per week Be drug free Legally able to work in New Zealand
