Dairy Farm Assistants

A dairy farming employer is looking for 2x dairy farm assistants with at least 6 months dairy farming experience. The dairy farm is based in Wharepuhunga, you must be happy to live in a rural location, and have a vehicle and drivers license to get to town for your own essential needs.

Duties & Responsibilities include: Milking, Feed Management, Animal Health, Mating, Plant & Machinery, Maintenance, Tractor Work, Effluent, Irrigation, Stock work, Calf Rearing, Record Keeping, Staff, Farm Maintenance, Health & Safety, General farm work.

You will have the following skills: - 6 months dairy farming experience. - Have completed a tertiary farming qualification or equivalent tertiary qualification (level 3 NCEA) - Be able to pass a drug test. - Have a drivers license and own reliable vehicle. - Be keen to progress your fairy farming career. - Have at least 2 good references. - Must be able to pass an MOJ check. - Must be able to work 12 days on 2 days off roster working 5am – 5pm. - Must be happy to live in shared accommodation in a 4-bedroom home.

Must be living in New Zealand, have around 6+ months NZ farming experience including milking, animal health, tractor driving, all general on farm skills, have completed a tertiary farming qualification or other tertiary qualification, have no pets, be drug free, have a clean licence & own reliable vehicle and be keen to progress their dairy career, provide at least 2 recent referees.
